I got up a little late today. Actually, yesterday I slept very late. Today, I spent most of my time doing research on the English language. I had countless questions related to English. The one question that often roamed in my mind was, "What are the opportunities in English if I would opt for it as a career?" I watched tonnes of videos on YouTube. I went through many YT channels. After lots of searching, I found a wonderful channel called "Arpita Karwa.". What I love most about her is her way of explaining things. I watched several of her videos, including "Career After MA in English," "What is the UGC-NET Exam," "Eligibility for the UGC-NET Exam," "Job Opportunity After MA in English," and "Difference Between English Literature and English Honours." As I was moving ahead, my number of questions was decreasing. I made notes of those videos, which I thought would be useful in my future. I also reviewed the entire syllabus of MA English, then I learned that there is no grammar in MA English or any other higher subject of English. It is all about reading and understanding the author`s point of view. I came to know that if I select MA English, I will have to read more. I will have to read so much literature from numerous authors. MA English is all about reading and reading a lot. I came to know that UGC-NET is for those who want to pursue their career in the teaching profession. After clearing the UGC-NET, candidates will qualify as assistant professors and can teach at any of the private colleges as well as government colleges across India. I also came to know that, there are numerous options in the private sector too, but for that, my speaking fluency and writing skills are supposed to be at a great level. Today I got to know that, what I will have to do if I would choose English as a career.
