Last class, my friends and I were discussing various newspapers and trying to understand which one was good for us. As we all know, reading newspapers is also an effective step toward learning English. Everyone was sharing their favourite newspaper name, "Hindustan Times is amazing, you should read it,", one of my friends said. Everyone was sharing their newspaper traits. "You all should read The Hindu once," one of them said promptly.

Then I realised that I had completed my three months of learning English, but I had never read The Hindu till now. I thought, "Abhishek, you should also try it once in a while." I had heard about the difficulty level of this newspaper from many people, even my classmates. This morning, when I had gone to drop my brother off, I had to stop due to a red light while coming back home. Suddenly, I saw one newspaper vendor nearby who was arranging his newspapers in the proper manner. I came to him and parked my bike nearby. Firstly, I saw all the newspapers that were there. "Bhaiya, The Hindu dena", I said to him. He picked one and gave it to me. I asked him about the price. "Bhaiya 12 rupay", he said. I had two coins of 10 rupees. I gave him one ten rupee coin by saying, "Bhaiya 10 rupaye chal jayege, mere pass 2 rupaye ka change nahi hai." He said,"bhaiya subah ka time hai". I understood, what he wanted to say. I put my hand in the bag again and took the last coin. I gave him 20 rupees. One uncle was standing near me, watching everything. He looked at me respectfully and said, "Beta kya karte ho ?". I said, "Uncle Ji, college main hun". During this time, the newspaper vendor went nearby shop for some change. Meanwhile, I went on my bike and started reading the newspaper. The newspaper cost was almost double that of a normal newspaper. We would get the normal newspaper in 5 rupees and this was 12 rupees, almost double. When I was reading this newspaper, I found that there were no advertisements there, was very clean; the paragraphs were divided very beautifully and had great readability, point-to-point news with no unwanted words. People were seeing me with respect might be the reason was 'The Hindu'. The vendor gave me my change, and I came back to my home.
